Dr. Jeliah Akombe, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

About

Dr. Jeliah Akombe is dual certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is licensed in more than 10 states among them being NJ, NY, CA, PA, DE, DC, MD,VA,VT, and MN. She earned her BSN from New Jersey City University (NJCU) then subsequently earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration on family nurse practice from Walden University, Doctor of Nursing Practice from and Stamford University in Alabama, and Post Doctorate degree as a Psychiatric Mental Nurse Practitioner from University of Massachusetts respectively. 

Dr. Akombe started her career in Nursing at University Hospital in Newark where she worked as an Emergency Room staff nurse before serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the Newark Department of Health. She is currently practicing both as a family nurse practitioner with United Healthcare and as psychiatric nurse practitioner.
